5-minute start guide
Follow these five steps to get into your first game. They match the quick start on the home page.
- Press the start button on the home page to open the login screen.
- Create an account or log in. After logging in, the multiplayer lobby is shown.
- Choose a game room you can join, or create one if the lobby allows it.
- When you enter the game, find your own territory on the hexagonal map.
- On your first turn, check the map, your troops, population, building levels, and the remaining turn time before you build, move troops, or attack. Keep some troops home for defense.
You start with 2,000 troops. Each turn you can submit up to 7 actions. The default turn length is 1 minute, and a game administrator can set it between 1 and 60 minutes per game. Actions are resolved when the turn ends, and their cost (for example troops) is deducted when you submit them.
Core mechanics summary
Territories
The map is a hexagonal grid of territories. Each territory has an owner (a player or neutral), troops, population, a building level, and a territory type. There are five territory types: plain, farm, mine, barracks, and fortress, each with different growth and defense characteristics.
Actions each turn
All players act in the same turn, and you can submit up to 7 actions per turn. There are four action types:
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Attack | Send troops to a neutral or enemy territory. Movement takes 3 minutes per hex. |
| Build | Construct or upgrade a building to raise a territory's building level. Cost for level 0 to 1 is 270 troops and grows 17% per level; build time starts at 5 minutes and grows 6% per level. A fortress costs about 2.1 times as much and takes about 2.07 times as long. |
| Transfer | Move troops between your own territories. Takes 1.5 minutes per hex, faster than an attack. |
| Recruit | Convert 9% of a territory's population into the same number of troops (the population is reduced accordingly). |
Combat
Combat has no random element. An attack succeeds when the attacking troops exceed the defender's effective defense, where effective defense is the defending troops multiplied by 1.013 raised to the building level (with a small extra multiplier for barracks and fortress). A territory that is attacked loses population: 2% if the defense holds, 17% if the territory is lost. A weak-player protection rule refuses an attack when the defender's total troops are less than one tenth of the attacker's total troops.
These numbers are the current balance settings and can change with game updates. The in-game screen always takes priority. The Korean guide and llms-full.txt list the full details.
Common questions
I selected a territory, but the attack button is disabled.
Check that one of your own territories is chosen as the source, that the target is not already yours, that the source has enough troops, that you have not reached the per-turn action limit, and that the weak-player protection rule does not block the attack.
My troop count dropped unexpectedly.
Submitting an action such as attack, transfer or build deducts its troop cost when you submit it, and troops that are moving are in transit until the turn resolves. Check your action history and the current action list before assuming something is wrong.
My population decreased.
When one of your territories is attacked, each attack reduces its population: 2% when the defense holds and 17% when the territory is lost (captured).
I attacked, but the territory was not captured right away.
Attacks are not instant: they have a distance-based movement time of 3 minutes per hex, and the result is applied when the turn resolves.
I want to move troops between my own territories.
Use the transfer action. Moving troops between your own territories takes 1.5 minutes per hex, which is faster than an attack.
Interface languages
The game interface is available in seven languages: Korean, English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Vietnamese, and Thai. This page is the English summary of the user guide; the full step-by-step guide is currently written in Korean.
